Honest answers to fair questions.
How much does a website cost?
Most HAND projects land between $10,000 and $50,000 depending on scope, with Care Plans from a few hundred dollars per month for ongoing hosting and upkeep. We publish ranges because "it depends — book a call" wastes your time. If your budget is under $10k, a template-based option may genuinely serve you better, and we'll tell you so on the discovery call.
Will I be locked in to you?
No — and this is in writing in every contract. You own everything: code, content, design files, domains, and accounts, all in your name from day one. If you ever leave, we'll help you migrate. Clients stay because they want to; 94% are still with us after year one.
What happens after launch?
Launch is day one, not goodbye. Every project moves into a Care Plan — hosting, security, backups, updates, and monthly content hours under a 24-hour response SLA. Most clients stay on a Care Plan so the site keeps getting small improvements instead of going stale.
How long does a project take?
Most sites launch in about two to three weeks from the planning kickoff. You'll have the exact date before we start — and our launch-date guarantee means that if we miss it, you don't pay the final installment until we're done.
How much of my time will this take?
A few short sessions on your side — a discovery call, a planning session, a couple of design reviews, and a handover — across the two-to-three-week build. We structured it so you delegate the outcome instead of managing the project.
We already have a website. Do we have to start over?
Not necessarily. The free audit will tell you honestly whether your current site is worth improving or genuinely holding you back. Sometimes the right answer is a focused round of fixes plus a Care Plan — and when it is, that's what we'll recommend.
What makes HAND different from other agencies?
The model. Most agencies are built around projects: pitch, build, launch, goodbye. HAND is built around partnership: the majority of our work is the ongoing care of sites we've designed and built. That changes the incentives — we build things we'll have to maintain, and our best marketing is your year-two results.
Do you work with businesses in any industry?
We focus where we're strongest: professional services, home services and trades, healthcare, hospitality, and B2B manufacturing. If you're outside those, the discovery call will sort out fit quickly — and if we're wrong for you, we'll point you toward someone better suited.
